Site launched — first version of the documentation

Ancient city of Zhou and a library

The Path of Strategy documentation portal has launched — a corpus of classical Chinese texts on governance, statecraft, and strategy.

The first version of the documentation includes:

  • 24 sources — from Sun Tzu and Liu Tao to Zhou Yi and the Yinfu Jing — arranged into six categories of the corpus (兵略, 治術, 宇宙秩序, 五失典籍, 身·文, 器·符).
  • Organization by the well-field system 井 — four seasons and a center, a single principle underlying both the military treatises and the cosmological texts.
  • “Introduction” and “About” sections describing the methodology: every text is read through four levels of understanding — form, content, connections, application.

Some sources are currently catalogued without a page-by-page translation — this is noted directly on their pages. Translation and analysis will be added gradually, as they become ready.

The “Notes” section will be used for announcements like this one and working notes as the project develops.
